Position Overview
We are seeking a Project Architect to lead the design and technical execution of projects from early design through construction. This role requires a strong understanding of building systems, permitting processes, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative design-build environment. You’ll work closely with senior staff and the construction team to develop drawings, coordinate with consultants, and assist with project delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Lead project design and documentation from schematic design through construction administration
- Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and clients throughout all project phases
- Prepare and oversee production of construction documents and specifications
- Manage permitting processes and coordinate with local jurisdictions
- Review submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings during construction
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and client requirements
- Support budgeting, scheduling, and constructability efforts in collaboration with the construction team
- Mentor and support junior staff as needed
- Utilize emerging technologies (including AI tools) to improve design efficiency, coordination, and documentation workflows
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
- Licensed Architect (preferred) or actively pursuing licensure
- 5-10+ years of professional experience in architectural design and documentation
- Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and detailing
- Experience with commercial, industrial, or tenant improvement projects preferred
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (required) and Bluebeam a plus
- Familiarity with AI-driven design, documentation, or workflow tools or a willingness to learn and adopt new technologies
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
