Wellfound is hiring a per diem Psychiatrist to join out inpatient team.

Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is a 120-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Tacoma, Washington. We are Department of Health and Joint Commission accredited. We are an acute care psychiatric hospital providing care to both voluntary and involuntary patients.

Our providers are responsible for providing high quality, efficient and effective specialized psychiatric care that is evidence based and trauma-informed, in accordance with Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital standards and guidelines, as well as with applicable statutory requirements and accepted clinical practices for the medical profession of psychiatry. An incumbent is engaged in admitting, attending, discharging and consulting on patients following established protocols as determined by Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital medical governance and bylaws.

Work includes providing direct patient care that respects the patient’s unique values and needs by examining, diagnosing and analyzing the patient’s total health condition and developing short- and long-term treatment goals and plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and with each patient and/or their care designee(s).

• Weekday daily rate: $1500 with productivity requirements
• Weekend daily rate: $1800 with productivity requirements
• On call additional pay

• Paid Time Off - You will accrue Paid Sick and Safe Leave at 1 hour per 40 hours worked. Paid Sick leave cannot be used until 90 days after your hire date.
• Malpractice Insurance

• MD/DO degree from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a residency program in Psychiatry, approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association.

• Current Washington state medical license.
• Current valid DEA license
• BE/BC in Psychiatry: current certification or active participation in the examination process leading to certification in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry
• Current Basic Life Support card through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
