Physician​/Family Practice​/Washington​/Locum Tenens​/Locums Physician - Family Practice in WA

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Practice Physician for a locum tenens opportunity at an outpatient community health center near Tacoma, Washington. This is a great opportunity for physicians who are passionate about providing care to diverse and underserved populations.

Position Details:

• Start Date: November 4, 2024
• Contract Duration: 3 months with the possibility of extension
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week, no call required
• Shift Length: 8-hour workday with a 1-hour unpaid lunch
• Patient Volume: Up to 21 patients per day (newborns to geriatrics)
• Support Team: Each provider will have a dedicated medical assistant, along with access to mental health therapists, dietitians, pediatricians, and administrative support
• Setting: Outpatient clinic providing primary care to vulnerable populations, including migrants and refugees
• Procedures: Basic family practice procedures such as injections, IUD placement, and minor wound care
• EMR System: Epic

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Family Practice (BC or BE)
• Active Washington state medical license and DEA registration
• BLS and ACLS certifications (or willing to obtain)
• Experience working with EPIC EMR
• Clean background, with no malpractice history
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Spanish-speaking candidates are preferred but not required

Additional Information:

• Travel expenses covered (flight, rental car or mileage, and lodging)
• Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and flu
• Credentialing process takes approximately 2-3 weeks
