Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time school psychologist position is available in Puyallup, WA, within a public school setting. This onsite role supports students at the high school level with a caseload aligned to staffing guidelines of 1.0 FTE per 800 students. The assignment is based at a local high school, providing comprehensive psychological services throughout the academic year until June 16, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for students to identify educational and emotional needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop individual education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies.
- Provide counseling and support to students to assist with academic, social, and behavioral challenges.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to decision-making regarding student services.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid Washington state psychology license or willingness to obtain Washington state psychologist certification.
- Experience working with school-aged children in an educational setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of child development, assessment tools, and intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to manage a caseload consistent with district staffing ratios.
