Position Summary
The Business Program is seeking a student-centered individual to join our team. This position may include responsibilities in the development, preparation, and teaching of courses within the Business Program. Teaching assignments may include associate and/or bachelor's level courses using various modalities including face‑to‑face, hybrid, or fully online. This team member will work in partnership with faculty, staff, and students dedicated to building strong linkages within the college’s Business Pathway.
The position works closely with the Business Program chair and reports directly to the Dean of Business, Paralegal & Technology.
- Prepare and teach courses in general business, management, global logistics, entrepreneurship, human resources, and project management.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate curricula at the rigor appropriate for the degree program.
- Motivate students by providing a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Use technology tools to enhance student learning in any learning environment.
- Collaborate with other business faculty and staff.
- Participate in the college's professional development and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion events.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Two (2) years of relevant work experience and/or teaching experience that particularly qualifies the faculty to provide instruction in the field of business.
- Master's degree in Business, Business Administration, or Business Management, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Experience teaching at a community college.
- Experience in using online classroom platforms (Canvas, Blackboard, etc.).
- Experience teaching online or with online tools.
- Successfully complete a criminal history background check prior to employment.
- Professional and courteous interactions with students, faculty, and staff.
- Flexible ability to achieve the instructional and general responsibilities of the position.
- Dynamic, non‑traditional delivery methods to teach students of widely varying levels of proficiency and from diverse backgrounds, abilities, and learning styles.
- Experience using technology as an instructional aid to enhance learning.
- An appreciation of diversity and the benefits of a commitment to cultural awareness and sensitivity in the workplace.
- Excellent customer service skills, including establishing, building, and maintaining internal/external customer satisfaction.
- Ethics, integrity, and sound professional judgement.
- Willingness to collaborate with faculty colleagues.
