Full Time Lecturer Temporary in Mathematics

The University of Washington Tacoma (UWT) invites applications for a Full-time Lecturer (Temporary) of Mathematics in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences, Department of Sciences and Mathematics. This is a full-time, 100% FTE position with a 9-month service period and an expected start date of September 16, 2025 and end date of June 15, 2026.

The successful candidate will be expected to perform highly effective and inclusive teaching, using a variety of pedagogical techniques and technologies, in an urban-serving campus environment. The successful candidate will also be expected to mentor undergraduate students in an academic setting and will need to demonstrate facility in mentoring students with diverse experiences and backgrounds.

The successful candidate will have experience teaching a variety of college-level Mathematics, such as Pre-calculus, Calculus, Matrix Algebra, Differential Equations, etc. They will also participate in institutional service, collaborating with faculty in the Division of Sciences and Mathematics in curriculum development and other related areas. UWT offers substantial opportunities to collaborate on innovative community-engaged and/or interdisciplinary research or scholarship activities. The successful candidate will also participate in institutional, professional, and community-engaged service.

The base salary range for this position is $5,597 per month ($50,373 per 9-month academic year), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
