Part‑time faculty positions at the college are open continuously and reviewed on a quarter‑by‑quarter basis. Part‑time Art Professor – The position prepares and teaches courses in Studio Art at the TCC campus with potential future assignments at the Tacoma or Gig Harbor campuses as part of the Division of Creative Arts, Literature, and Communication. The fall quarter schedule includes ART 102 Two‑Dimensional Design, a hybrid‑online course that meets Monday and Wednesday from 9:30 AM to 11:50 AM on the main campus.

The role reports to the Dean for Creative Arts, Literature, and Communication.

• Prepare and instruct transfer‑level classes in Two‑Dimensional Design in person, online, and hybrid modalities.
• Utilize Canvas, the college LMS, for course‑related engagement across all modalities.
• Provide course‑related communication and support via email and scheduled office hours (virtual and in person).
• Comply with state and federal law applicable to professional duties.
• Follow established procedures outlined in the collective bargaining agreement for submitting syllabi, grades, bookstore orders, and other administrative tasks.
• Participate in required professional development and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion events.

• Master’s degree in Art or closely related field from an accredited college or university.
