THIS POSITION IS FOR 3 HOURS PER DAY AT 164 DAYS PER YEAR.
This is a Cafeteria Student Supervision position with the hours of 11:10am- 2:10pm
PAY FOR POSITION: PSE Salary Schedule Level 3 - $ 22.17
Description: This position's responsibilities are to ensure the safety and well-being of students in a variety of non-classroom settings, such as lunchrooms, hallways, and playgrounds.
Job Summary:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Depending upon the individual assignment, the Para educator
- Student Supervision performs all or a combination of several of the following duties:
Reports to the school principal or assigned administrator.
MENTAL DEMANDSRequired to deal with a wide range of student behaviors; may occasionally deal with distraught or difficult individuals; requires alertness and safety awareness.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSMay be required to work outdoors in inclement weather; required to stand for prolonged periods; may be required to lift, move or carry students or equipment; potentially exposed to ordinary infectious diseases carried by students; may need to take precautions to avoid exposure to student bodily fluids; exposed to high noise levels from students.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience
Education, training, skills, and experience necessary to carry out the assignment, experience working with school-aged children preferred.
