The Librarian - Information Specialist

will be responsible for managing and organizing a variety of information resources in a library setting This includes selecting acquiring cataloging and maintaining materials such as books periodicals multimedia and digital resources The ideal candidate will also provide reference services to library patrons and assist with research inquiries This role requires strong organizational skills attention to detail and knowledge of library systems and technology

• Develop and maintain library collections by selecting relevant materials for acquisition
• Catalog and classify materials according to standard procedures
• Manage circulation of materials including check-incheck-out processes
• Provide reference services to library patrons in person or via electronic means
• Assist with research inquiries by utilizing various information databases and resources
• Promote library services through outreach efforts and educational programs
• Stay current on emerging technologies and trends in the library field

• Bachelors degree in Library Science or related field
• Previous experience working in a library setting preferred
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Detail-oriented with excellent attention to accuracy and completeness
• Proficient in using library systems and technology including online cataloging tools and databases
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of $1000 per month Accommodation will be provided for the selected candidate We are seeking an Indian national who is fluent in English for this role Free visa sponsorship and travel arrangements will also be provided
