Job DescriptionWe have multiple opportunities, one full-time (40 hours) Career Service position that is located in Eatonville. There are also two part-time (20 hours) limited-duration positions that are located in Buckley and University Place.
The person in this role will support the successful growth and development of children and their families participating in the ECEAP. The program provides comprehensive services designed to support healthy families, empowered individuals, and thriving communities through high-quality early learning and family-centered opportunities. By joining the Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) team, you will have the opportunity to positively impact young children's growth and development and provide support and encouragement to families of young children.
The full-time (40 hours), Career Service position is located in Eatonville. The two part-time (20 hours) limited duration positions are located in Buckley and University Place.

The part-time limited duration positions will have more responsibility for preparing the food services for the preschool children.
Throughout the onboarding process, you will meet with the Supervisors and teams regularly to discuss expectations, set goals, identify priorities, and gain familiarity with current policies, procedures, and strategic measures. This is a grant-funded position. Continued employment is contingent upon job performance/evaluation, continued funding of the program, and other appropriate County procedures.
Core daily responsibilities include:
- Assist educator in supervision and promotion of activities designed to enhance the healthy emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of children enrolled.
- Assist the educator in the daily educational procedures within the classroom, including music, meals, group projects, free-time, outside activities, etc.
- Interact positively with all children to support their individual learning and meet their emotional needs.
- Perform daily, light classroom cleaning to maintain a neat and organized classroom.
- Prepare and serve snacks and meals; participate in and facilities mealtime service and joins children at the table for support and conversation.
- Additional education or experience may substitute for the recruiting requirements.
- One year of successful, relevant work experience in a preschool or child care setting and a current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential awarded by the Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition or 12 college quarter credits in early childhood education. College credit must be earned from an accredited institution of higher education.
- A Pediatric First Aide/CPR card and Food Handler's permit must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- TB skin test or for those individuals with a positive skin test a statement from a doctor or chest x-ray must be furnished upon hire.
