Job Functions:

* _Under the guidance and supervision of your school leadership and in partnership with your classroom’s Lead Teacher to create a positive learning environment_
* _Classroom Management_
* Work closely with the Lead Teacher to contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment, support effective behavior management strategies, and assist in creating a safe and engaging atmosphere conducive to student learning.
* Support individual student needs to be successful in participating in an inclusive learning environment.
* _Instructional Practices_
* Work closely with the Lead Teacher to consistently execute core best practices aligned to Impact’s instructional model in a variety of formats (whole group, small group, one on one).
* Independently lead enrichment and small group instruction in support of effective literacy, math, language development skills, and social emotional learning
* _Planning and Preparation_
* Assist the Lead Teacher in your classroom with implementation of comprehensive lesson plans provided by IPS’ Academic team and anticipate student responses and potential challenges, and plan targeted questions and exemplar work samples to facilitate comprehensive and effective instruction._Assist in daily instruction and behavior interventions for specific students on caseload_
* Provide one-on-one or small group support during classroom activities and implement behavior management strategies to address individual student needs. Students may have Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or disabilities.
* _Collect data on interventions to help teachers continuously improve instruction and behavior plans for the students you support_
* Maintain detailed records of interventions and their outcomes and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
* _Provide behavioral, social-emotional, and academic intervention for students in alignment with student support plans (IEP, Behavior Intervention Plan, Tier 2 Supports, etc.)_
* Follow individualized plans to address behavioral challenges and promote positive social interactions and support academic skill development through targeted interventions and differentiated instruction. Monitor and track progress and work with the team to adjust interventions as needed to meet student goals.
* _Supervise assigned students as necessary and ensure student safety_
* Maintain a safe and supportive environment for students during instructional and non-instructional periods and implement safety protocols and procedures in accordance with school guidelines. Provide supervision during transitions, lunchtime, and other activities to prevent accidents and conflicts._Support scholars with activities of daily living as needed (including things such as toileting, transitioning between classes, and safe play during recess, etc.) _
* Assist students with personal care tasks, such as toileting and hygiene, as outlined in their support plans and facilitate smooth transitions between classes and activities to minimize disruptions. Promote safe…
