Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Building Administrator or Science Department Lead, is responsible for applying general skills supporting the secondary educational process. Specific responsibilities for this position are as described on the attached job description. This is a temporary leave replacement position beginning September 1, 2026 through September 30, 2026.

Salary Range:

$28.91 - $32.84/hour Para educator A per 2026-27 Public School Employees Salary Schedule.

Above pay rates do not include holiday and pay in lieu of vacation, which increases the hourly compensation.

Work Schedule:
  • Dates Needed: September 1, 2026 - September 30, 2026 (dates subject to adjustment)
  • Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.

    - 1:30 p.m.
  • Lunch Break: 30-minutes unpaid break
  • Calendar: 9 months/year; enjoy time office during spring break, winter break and summer, plus 10 paid holidays.
Qualifications:
  • Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and meet one (1) of the following:
  • Have received a score of 455 on the ETS Para Pro (https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). ),or a qualifying score on the Pearson Paraprofessional assessmentor Master Teacher Inc. Para educator Training Program;
  • Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university;
  • Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university.
  • Upon hire, must complete the Fundamental Course of Study (FCS)-Para educator Certificate.
  • Ability to meet the qualifications as listed on the job description for this position.
  • If selected for an interview, must first pass the Science Lab Skills Assessment.
