In Person Services, Full-Time Opportunities. ASL Certification Required with Minimum EIPA Score of 4.0 or higher, or NIC certification
- ASL Interpreter Certification
- Minimum EIPA score of 4.0
- In-person Availability
- Provide accurate, clear, and age-appropriate American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students during classroom instruction, activities, meetings, and school events.
- Facilitate effective communication between students, teachers, staff, administrators, peers, and families while maintaining confidentiality and professional interpreting standards.
- Support students' access to the general education curriculum, including interpreting academic terminology, classroom discussions, assessments, presentations, and STEM-focused instruction.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related-service providers to help ensure appropriate accommodations and communication access in accordance with each student's educational plan.
- Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment by encouraging student independence, participation, and self-advocacy while serving as a communication facilitator rather than an instructional substitute.
