WHAT

YOU'LL DO

In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing and supporting engineered wood product (EWP) solutions for residential construction projects. You’ll use design software to create accurate framing layouts, size structural components like beams and joists, and generate material lists and plan takeoffs for single-family and small multifamily builds. You’ll also manage EWP inventory and product lines, assist with purchasing and sales through systems like DMSI, and help ensure projects meet local building codes and structural requirements.

In addition, you’ll support customers by providing product guidance, training, and presentations, while also coaching and mentoring new designers on the team. This role involves regular communication with customers and internal teams, handling incoming inquiries, and staying flexible to support various operational and project needs as they arise.

WHAT YOU

NEED TO HAVE

For this role, you’ll need at least seven years of experience working with engineered wood products (EWP), specifically in product management, design, and customer‑facing environments. You should be comfortable using design software for residential and multi‑family projects and have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and structural details. Strong technical skills are important, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office equipment.

You’ll need to be highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple projects at once in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining a strong sense of urgency and accountability. The role also requires excellent communication and collaboration skills, the ability to problem‑solve and adapt quickly, and a commitment to following through on tasks to ensure accurate results. Occasional travel may also be required.
