Civil Engineering, Site Manager
Tunista Construction LLC is hiring a Student Project Engineer to support heavy civil projects across Washington State. The temporary pay range is $22–$27 per hour with the opportunity to transition to a full‑time or entry‑level engineering role.
Responsibilities- Assist Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and Engineers with daily project documentation and administrative tasks.
- Maintain timecards, equipment usage reports, job diaries, photographs, and video logs.
- Enter data into Heavy Job software for time and equipment entry; keep quantities updated and report costs to Superintendents.
- Review and calculate quantities against pay estimates and help implement the SWPPP (site storm water pollution prevention plan).
- Draft route correspondence and document change orders, work conditions, and project updates for the Corporate Office.
- Support project health, safety, and environmental requirements and assist with schedule updates and job costing.
- Perform other duties as assigned and remain alert to safety.
- Enrolled in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Surveying, Environmental Engineering, or a related program.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; basic database, spreadsheet, and word‑processing skills.
- Valid, current state driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle safely.
- Ability to pass drug screening, driving record, and background screening.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to solve problems and work well in a team.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and punctuality.
- Typical construction site conditions with occasional weekend and evening work.
- Professional construction attire including safety toe work boots; personal protective equipment supplied as needed.
