Foundry Engineer

Are you passionate about metal casting, process optimization, and solving complex manufacturing challenges? We're looking for a Foundry Engineer to join our growing team in Tacoma, WA. In this role, you'll play a key part in developing casting processes, improving product quality, and driving continuous improvement across foundry operations.

• Design and optimize gating and riser systems for metal castings.
• Develop casting processes using engineering calculations and solidification analysis.
• Partner with CAD designers to create and maintain manufacturing models and drawings.
• Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Support process improvement, quality enhancement, cost reduction, and safety initiatives.
• Assist with manufacturing cost estimates and process planning.
• Work closely with Operations, Quality, and Production teams to ensure efficient manufacturing.
• Evaluate and implement new foundry technologies and best practices.

• 3+ years of experience in a Foundry Engineering or related manufacturing engineering role.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with CREO or Solid Works

• Knowledge of metallurgy, casting processes, or welding engineering.
• Strong analytical skills with experience using data to improve manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing automation is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
