Event Staff - Tacoma Convention Center

Position: Event Staff
Location: Greater Tacoma Convention Center
Pay: $21/hour
Schedule: Shifts will vary

As Event Staff, you will play a vital role ensuring a seamless, positive experience for customers using parking facilities during events. Your primary responsibilities include assisting customers with payment inquiries, managing challenging customer interactions, and facilitating the parking process. You will guide actions by addressing customer concerns within established site policies and engage customers during entry and exit procedures.

• Assist customers who are unsure of how to pay for their parking
• Deal with irate customers and solve issues to the best of their ability within the policy and framework set out for the site (Service is priority)
• Assist customers with the overall in/out process of parking
• Identify and report parking equipment deficiencies and safety concerns to direct supervisor
• Litter pick up and, if required, shoveling/salting
• Other duties assigned
• Responsible for maintaining and operating equipment belonging to Reimagined or the Property manager during the shift
• Responsible for the collection of cash and front line revenues
• Control all lot revenues and record keeping as it relates to work performed
• Interact face-to-face with customers
• Ensure that the site at which the individual is working is kept clean, neat, and free of obstacles in accordance with site requirements
• Control all tools and equipment required to perform duties
• Must be organized
• Make suggestions and recommendations relating to the way jobs are performed
• Consult with supervisor or manager regarding items of relevance to the parking operation
• Balance revenue control sheets as mandated by management or the property manager for both automated and non-automated locations
• Log all issues/events in the log book and bring them to the attention of direct supervisor
• In problem situations, strive to achieve a resolution through dealings with customers and supervisors/manager
• Act as a front line employee, a role considered extremely important
• Wear uniforms with company logo or crest when on duty in a neat and well-groomed manner; appearance represents the company
• Prioritize various jobs with supervisor/manager
• Track levels of stocks and supplies

• Strong command of the English language; friendly, even-tempered, cooperative; able to work independently and communicate effectively
• Basic knowledge of the parking equipment used at the site (Pay Stations, Ticket Dispensers, Exit Readers, Gate Machines)
• Basic knowledge of both desk/handheld POS parking equipment used at the site
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Basic Technical Education
• Customer Service Experience required
• Parking-related Experience
