Summary/ObjectiveThe audio engineer is responsible for recording, creating, enhancing, and editing sound for weekend gatherings, large group meetings, and special events.
Supervisory ResponsibilityThis role does not have a supervisory component.
Responsibilities- Executes sound for all Central Campus Gatherings, LCA chapels and events, large meetings, and special events. This includes mixing and regulating sound inputs and feeds.
- Fixing and enhancing sound at live events.
- Communicate with other staff members to ensure deadlines are met and projects are completed to specifications.
- Testing and troubleshooting equipment regularly. Replace any faulty components. Notifies supervisor when major equipment repairs are needed.
- Sets up and tears down all equipment for weekend gatherings and events, safely and timely.
- Attends planning meetings and rehearsals.
- Other reasonable duties as requested and assigned.

- Proficient in ministry systems and digital tools (CCB, LEADR, PCO, HRIS, Microsoft 365, etc.) to coordinate and track outcomes.
- Embodies the staff attributes as listed in the Little Book of Life Center.
- Ability to use various models of sound equipment.
- Basic knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
- Discerning ear; superb ear for sound.
- Practical knowledge of theatre operations.
- Ability to use specialized programs and equipment in AV presentations.
- Compliant with Life Center’s Policies and Practices, including but not limited to Employee Handbook and Safety Manual.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Certificate in audio technology or similar recommended.
- Practical experience with sound equipment.
- Experience in technical entertainment including lighting design, set design, and lighting board programming.
- Stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time as required by job.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch to perform tasks in various environments.
- Ability to talk and hear, reach, and grasp, see and adjust visual focus.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
- Must be able to work at heights and stand for long periods of time.
- This job operates in a professional office and ministry environment.
- This role routinely interacts with staff, volunteers, and guests.
- The primary campus location for this role:
Central. - Local travel may be required for All Staff Meetings.
Full Time: 33+ hours per week, which includes:
- Sunday morning Gatherings. Four days during the Monday through Friday work week window, primarily during the hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm.
- Flexibility for days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
- Routinely requires evening and weekend work pertaining to ministry’s needs and events which occur in the evenings or on weekends.
- Attendance at the following staff meetings is required for this role:
Reset, Annual Meeting, any required staff training, recurring meetings as required, and additional meetings as requested.
