PAY RANGE: $26.00 - $29.00/hour

Summary/Objective

The audio engineer is responsible for recording, creating, enhancing, and editing sound for weekend gatherings, large group meetings, and special events.

Supervisory Responsibility

This role does not have a supervisory component.

Responsibilities
  • Executes sound for all Central Campus Gatherings, LCA chapels and events, large meetings, and special events. This includes mixing and regulating sound inputs and feeds.
  • Fixing and enhancing sound at live events.
  • Communicate with other staff members to ensure deadlines are met and projects are completed to specifications.
  • Testing and troubleshooting equipment regularly. Replace any faulty components.
  • Notifies supervisor when major equipment repairs are needed.
  • Sets up and tears down all equipment for weekend gatherings and events, safely and timely.
  • Attends planning meetings and rehearsals.
  • Other reasonable duties as requested and assigned.

  • Ability to use various models of sound equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment and computer hardware and software including applications and programming.
  • Discerning ear; superb ear for sound.
  • Practical knowledge of theatre operations.
  • Ability to use specialized programs and equipment in AV presentations.
  • Compliant with Life Center's Policies and Practices, including but not limited to Employee Handbook and Safety Manual.
