JCW is working in partnership with a community bank in the Washington, DC Metro. Our client is actively seeking a talented candidate to fill a Senior Audit Manager – Credit Risk position. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in shaping the bank’s credit risk and audit strategy while working in a collaborative, high-impact environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute audits focused on commercial lending, credit risk management, and loan portfolio quality
- Provide insights and recommendations to strengthen internal controls and regulatory compliance
- Partner with senior management and stakeholders to drive improvements in credit risk governance
- Mentor and guide junior auditors, fostering a strong risk-aware culture
What We’re Looking For:
- 7+ years of audit experience, with a focus on commercial credit/lending (banking/financial services required)
- Strong knowledge of credit risk, regulatory requirements, and loan review processes
- Certifications such as CPA, CIA, CRC, or CFA (preferred but not required)
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
