Our client, a reputable financial services organization in Meriden, CT, is seeking a detail-oriented Loan Processor to provide support on a short-term assignment. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively to ensure loan applications are processed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Review loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Verify applicant information, including income, employment, assets, and credit-related documentation.
• Communicate with borrowers, lenders, underwriters, and third parties to obtain required documentation and resolve outstanding conditions.
• Monitor loan files throughout the processing cycle and ensure deadlines are met.
• Maintain accurate records and enter data into lending and internal systems.
• Identify and address discrepancies within loan files.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable lending regulations.
• Provide administrative support to the lending and underwriting teams as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in loan processing, mortgage processing, banking operations, or a related financial services role.
• Strong understanding of loan documentation and lending procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with loan origination systems is a plus.
