Position: 35M Human Intelligence Collector

Human Intelligence Collector – Army National Guard

Intelligence is crucial to the security of our nation. By gathering information about an adversary’s intentions, strengths, vulnerabilities, and capabilities, the military can plan, prepare, and defend against potential attacks. As a Human Intelligence Collector you will earn a security clearance and apply your strategic, cognitive, and language skills to obtain Intel from friendly and hostile sources.

Your duties may include conducting intelligence gathering missions involving human sources; interrogating and debriefing; developing intelligence gathering and collection missions and interrogation plans; advising military organizations based on intelligence gathering; and coordinating with federal agencies.

Job Duties
  • Screen human intelligence sources and documents
  • Debrief and interrogate human intelligence sources

Through your training you will develop the skills and experience to pursue a civilian career in research or business planning, or work for government agencies.

Training and Education

Training consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training, 6 to 18 months of language training, and 15 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT). Initial entry training can also lead to additional college credit.

Pay

Typical pay ranges between $200 and $250 per drill weekend. Additional pay for maintaining language proficiency ranges from $100 to $500 per month for primary languages, and up to $1,000 total if multiple languages are maintained.

Requirements
  • Enlistment in the Army National Guard
  • Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or GED certificate
  • Must be between 17 and 35 years old
  • Physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
  • Must meet citizenship requirements
