The Washington State Department of Corrections (DOC) is looking to internally fill a full-time, non-permanent Corrections Specialist 4 (CS4) - Community Response Unit (CRU) Specialist position within the Community Corrections Division (CCD). This position works for the Community Response Unit (CRU) located at 1016 South 28th Street, Tacoma, WA 98409. This non-permanent appointment will be assigned to the FBI Task Force and part-time with the Mason and Kitsap County Sheriff Offices and is expected to last about six months.
This position works as a Southwest Region Community Response Unit (CRU) Specialist assigned to the FBI South Sound Gang Task Force working under Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in an official law enforcement capacity and in cooperation with the Mason and Kitsap County Sheriff offices. The primary duties of this CS4 position includes conducting complex criminal investigations, apprehending wanted fugitives with WADOC, state/local, or federal arrest warrants.
This position requires working long hours outside of a DOC office with multiple law enforcement agencies within high risk, stressful, and harsh environments. Shift hours:
