Internship Overview

Working at Luxrnrn Lux Salon and Spa’s internship is a comprehensive hands-on experience that provides training in the areas of technical skills, guest handling, and business building. The salon provides an environment for growth, learning, and support. It is our goal that every intern has a seamless transition from intern to stylist or esthetician with the skills necessary for success.

We are excited to offer Externships for students from the cosmetology schools in the Seattle/Tacoma area. During their externship, students will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced stylists and estheticians, learning new techniques, honing their skills, and building their confidence. They will also have the chance to interact with clients, gaining valuable customer service skills and building their professional network.

We also offer this program to more experienced licensed stylists/estheticians who have taken a break from the industry, or experienced stylists who wish to transition away from specializing in technical or design services.

Interns are not assistants. Instead, our Interns act as partners with their educators, who provide a collaborative environment for growth, learning, and support.

• A three-month accelerated training program that would offer a more intensive learning experience compared to the six-month program. Interns would be expected to dedicate more time and effort each week, with the goal of quickly gaining the necessary skills and knowledge to be successful.
• Alternatively, the six-month training program would provide a more balanced approach, allowing interns to spread out their learning over a longer period of time. This could be beneficial for individuals who may have other commitments or prefer a less intense learning experience.
• Both programs would offer paid positions to interns. Ultimately, the choice between the two programs would depend on an individual's learning preferences and availability to commit to the training schedule.

• Active Washington State cosmetology, hair design, barber or esthetics licenser
• Available to work a 3-5 day a week schedule and open scheduling availability, including evenings and Saturdays.
• Teamwork skills
