A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Tacoma, WA, to support student communication development through two maternity leave contracts. These roles provide a chance to apply specialized skills in speech-language pathology within an educational setting.

Temporary maternity leave coverage - Assignment 1:
Full-time from September 4 to January 31 - Assignment 2:
Part-time, 2 days per week, starting ASAP through EOSY
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and monitor student outcomes
- Communicate therapy goals and achievements with all stakeholders
- Valid SLP certification (CCC-SLP preferred)
- Experience in pediatric speech and language services within schools
- Knowledge of state and federal guidelines related to special education
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapy to diverse student needs
