Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Seeking an experienced School Psychologist for a travel assignment in Tacoma, WA. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to provide critical psychological services to students across diverse school settings, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Provide counseling and support services to address student behavioral and emotional concerns
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to create effective intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives
Desired
Skills and Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure as required by Washington state
- Proven experience conducting psycho educational evaluations and developing IEPs
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work with students, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt to various school environments while traveling within Tacoma area
- Knowledge of federal and state special education laws and best practices
