About the Position
:
Shift: 10H Days 7a-530p with call
Description:
Unit Lab# suites/labs2 suites they use for Cath Lab, 1 for vascular #cases per day on average
22 total cases average between Cath Lab and EP (May start with 15 and take as many as 15 add on cases.
Required Certifications Techs- RCIS, RT or RCESCommon diagnoses/Types of patients
Right and left heart cath with or without intervention. Structural heart and vascular cases.
TAVR, mitral clip etc.
Requires knowledge of IABP & Impella insertion
Job Duties
RN and tech positions. Circulating, prep and recovery experience preferred. RN must have cardiac procedural experience with ability to circulate, sedate, monitor & document. Techs to scrub and document. Technologists must have procedural experience with the ability to scrub, monitor & document.
Experience or 'Must have' skills
Minimum of 2 years experience. Needs to be experienced with sedation and Phase 1 recovery, ICU or PACU experience would be a plus. Prefer EPIC experience - this sentence needs to be listed in a 3rd column under the heading of Prep / Recovery. We have 3 areas that we need travelers for. RN's in CCL, EP & prep / recovery.
Technologists in CCL & EP. Techs must also have experience in Cath lab and , Mac Lab, GE Imaging Cardiologist hours/on call
On Call when not in house
Manager/Charge Nurse Yes, charge or lead nurse. Will also have a lead tech when staffing allows. Charge Nurse, Lead Technologist, Supervisor, Director Cath Lab Techs Shifts & Scheduling7a-530p and call time.
Call Requirements 8-10 days of call in a 6wk period
Floating Requirements May take a case over to the EP lab. All suites are in a combined unit. Focusing on a one team approach.

CNM:
Ask about experience with prep and recovery. Will often work past normal end time in order to complete all cases. Needing a team player.
Additional Questions Epic knowledge, GE imaging equipment. Cancellation can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks Charting BSN License to Trauma Level: Care Shift with call Required , ARRT, BLS Certification, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Verification Guaranteed
