Position Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides high-quality speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing therapies to residents in our skilled nursing facility. You will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans to support residents in reaching their highest functional potential. This role supports both clinical independence and growth through strong interdisciplinary collaboration and evidence-based practice.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct screenings, evaluations, and ongoing assessments of residents’ speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals.
Provide therapy services that optimize residents’ communication and swallowing function.
Build and support a strong SLP therapy program within the facility.
Document all evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and care plans in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning.
Maintain a valid state SLP license and remain current with regulatory requirements.
Follow infection control and safety procedures.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, nursing staff, and therapy colleagues.
Stay up to date on professional issues, continuing education, and changes in therapy regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Valid Washington State license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Proficient with clinical documentation and basic computer skills.
CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but not required.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-focused care.

Full-Time and PRN opportunities available
