Position Summary:
The Rehab Technician performs a variety of direct patient care activities for a designated nursing unit. Assists
medical and nursing staff with procedures and/or tests, assists patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's),
obtains non-invasive body fluid specimens and may draw blood for glucose monitoring.
Experience:- Six months experience in a long term care environment preferred.
- Assists with computer data entry and generates reports as requested.
- Requires effective communication skills for working with patients, families, caregivers, and departmental and interdepartmental relationships.
- Assist with setting patients up for therapy.
- Assist the Medical Director with tasks as needed.
- Assist the Business Office Manager with tasks as needed.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid certification as a CNA in the state of employment preferred.
