We are hiring full time Human Resource Coordinator to join the Human Resource team s is an in person position Monday - Friday from 8 am - 4:30 pm.
Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is a 120-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Tacoma, Washington. We are Department of Health and Joint Commission accredited. We are an acute care psychiatric hospital providing care to both voluntary and involuntary patients.
Position InformationThe Human Resource Coordinator provides the initial contact for Wellfound employees and candidates. This position requires a person that is professional yet able to relay the company’s values while providing service to customer’s both internally and externally. This position supports and backs up other HR staff when they are out of the office.
Essential Job Functions- Maintains HR email and phone line in a timely and efficient manner for all general HR clerical support.
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide information about human resources guidelines, policies, regulations, procedures or other HR questions, understanding escalations as appropriate.
- Oversee the pre-employment process (i.e. drug screens, background verifications, references, etc) and onboarding of new hires.
- Assist with recruitment activities, including but not limited to creating job postings, coordinating/scheduling interviews and pre-screening candidates.
- Primary contact for updates within the HRIS system through full employee lifecycle.
- Oversee the completion of employee paperwork
- Prepare new hire files and coordination of New Employee Orientation in tandem with Sr. HR Generalist and Training and Development.
- Assist with audits, both internal and external, to ensure compliance with HR-related documentation and processes
- Ensures all necessary supplies for Human Resources are ordered.
- Sorts and distributes HR mail
- Collaborate with employee health nurse to ensure compliance through HR processes.
- Assist new hires through computer processes and any other inquiries within the process
- Manage the offboarding process by processing termination paperwork and conducting exit interviews.
- Assist with filing, scanning, and organizing personnel files, ensuring compliance with data privacy and record-keeping regulations.
- Help manage the benefit systems and address system issues directly with vendors or broker.
- Manage and maintain LMS systems for compliance and new hire purposes. Work with Training and Development with needs for items to be uploaded
- Back up HR functions when others are on leave.
- Other duties as assigned
- Hourly - $24.58-$35.82 an hour depending on experience

- Paid Time Off - You will accrue Paid Sick and Safe Leave at 1 hour per 40 hours worked. Paid Sick leave cannot be used until 90 days after your hire date.
- Paid Time Off will be accrued based on hours worked and tenure. You will accrue 0.12 hours of PTO per hours worked until you reach the next level of accrual. PTO cannot be used until 90 days after your hire date with the exception of designated Wellfound holidays.
- Associate degree in human resources, human services or related field
- Two years of Human Resource experience to include onboarding, employee relations, policy interpretation, and HRIS.
- Applied basic knowledge of human resource best practices within an office environment
