Job Summary

The temporary HR M&A Generalist provides HR, project, and data support for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, and other organizational transitions. This role partners with the HR M&A team, HR Centers of Expertise, leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate project activities, maintain accurate employee-impact information, respond to transition-related questions, and support a smooth experience for employees/caregivers and leaders.

The successful candidate will bring strong HR judgment, organization, attention to detail, customer service, and discretion in managing confidential work within a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support HR activities associated with integrations, divestitures, reorganizations, employer-code changes, and other organizational transitions.
  • Manage assigned projects and work streams by tracking milestones, action items, decisions, risks, documentation, and follow-up.
  • Collect, maintain, validate, and reconcile employee-impact data, census files, project trackers, and other HR records.
  • Identify data discrepancies, research root causes, and coordinate timely corrections.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, upload templates, and status updates using Excel, PowerPoint, and related tools.
  • Coordinate deliverables across HR, Payroll, Information Services, Communications, operational leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Support due diligence, system testing, employee-data changes, lessons-learned activities, and operational handoffs as assigned.
  • Support post-go-live auditing by validating employee data, tracking issues, coordinating corrections, and documenting outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, document, standardize, or improve HR M&A processes.
  • Protect confidential employee and business information in accordance with applicable privacy and security requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, HR Operations, project coordination, or a related field.
  • Experience working with confidential employee information and data.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong research, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to proactively support timely resolution of questions.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data validation.
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Word.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and follow assignments through completion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, integrations, or reorganizations.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems such as Oracle HCM
  • Experience with reporting and workflow tools such as Power BI, Power Query, or Power Automate.
  • Experience with Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
