TOTE Resources is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused, and highly organized Payroll Specialist to join our growing team in Tacoma, Washington. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing
, maintaining regulatory compliance
, and delivering exceptional employee support across multiple business units.

• Process accurate and timely multi-state payroll
• Maintain payroll records,
  deductions, garnishments, and tax documentation
• Audit and review employee timesheets for accuracy
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Partner closely with HR, Accounting, and operational teams
• Support payroll audits, reconciliations, and year-end processing
• Respond to employee inquiries with professionalism and urgency
• Drive process improvements and system enhancements
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee data

• 3+ years of payroll processing experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws and compliance requirements
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

• Experience with ADP or Concur
• Multi-state or multi-entity payroll experience
• Experience working with union and non-union labor

The salary range is $50,000 to $65,000 annually
, with an expected target salary of $60,000 to $62,000 per year
. Compensation will be based on several factors including the candidate’s education, work experience, work location, and specific job duties
.
