Overview

Edgewater is seeking a Release Train Engineer (RTE) to ensure the smooth operation of Agile Release Train (ART) events and practices and assist Agile Teams in their success. The RTE facilitates communication with stakeholders, problem-solving, and risk management.

The RTE also manages impediments, dependencies and fosters continuous improvement. They are integral to the ART leadership, collaborating with Product Management, Portfolio/Subportfolio Manager, the System Enterprise Architect, and Business Owners to achieve increment customer value on the ART. Beyond the ART, RTEs aid in the broader Lean-Agile transformation by coaching leaders and teams across the organization.

The work will be performed onsite in Washington, DC.

  • Ensures established planning and prioritization process are carried out by teams within the Porfolio/Subportfolio.

  • Empowers team to take ownership of their deliverables. Empowers and mentors Scrum Masters
  • Reinforce Agile practices across varying team maturity levels

  • Coach teams and drive continupus improvement.

  • Manages risk to ensure high resiliency and stability.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in Agile coaching, Agile transformation, or enterprise Agile adoption.
  • Experience coordinating large Agile teams and programs in heavily matrixed organizations (e.g. Product Management, Architecture leads, Scrum Masters and Business Owners) to achieve effective outcomes
  • Experience coaching leaders and teams within a broader agile organization
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating communication with stakeholders, problem-solving, risk management,managingimpediments and fostering continuous improvement across large agile programs
  • Prior experience ensuring the smooth operation of Agile Release Train (ART) events and practices and assist Agile Teams
  • Mindset that ensures IT processes (including those of internal & external service providers) are conducted in line with policies and applicable standards
  • Prior experience facilitating stakeholder engagement for key technology processes
  • Industry leading Agile practitioner certifications such as Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Product Owner, PMP-ACP, SAFe, or equivalent.
