Summary
Why it's a great opportunity: In this role as an IT Systems Engineer 2, you will support the County's modern hybrid technology environment, with a strong focus on data center operations, IT facility infrastructure, and mission-critical systems. You will serve as a key technical contributor within the Platform Services unit, supporting County data centers, MDF/IDF rooms, power and cooling systems, UPS and PDU infrastructure, environmental monitoring, structured cabling, physical security, DCIM tools, asset documentation, and infrastructure modernization efforts.

Information Technology's 130 staff are responsible for building, operating, and maintaining the technologies that power essential public services in Pierce County. We provide diverse technology solutions including commercial applications, geographic information systems, and sophisticated custom software, supported by a robust hybrid infrastructure combining both on-premises and cloud-based platforms, and all secured by a reliable network.
