Service Now Business Analyst - Top Secret Clearance
Location: DMV Area (Washington, DC / Maryland / Virginia)
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Employment Type: Full-Time, 1099 contract option available for candidates who prefer contract work
Clearance Required: Active Top Secret Clearance
We are seeking a Service Now Business Analyst to support Service Now-related initiatives for a government customer in the DMV area. This is an onsite position and requires an active Top Secret security clearance
.
The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of Service Now, strong business analysis skills, and the ability to work directly with stakeholders, technical teams, and government customers to gather requirements and support Service Now solutions.

Key Responsibilities- Work with business and government stakeholders to understand business needs and document requirements.
- Gather, analyze, and document functional and business requirements for Service Now solutions.
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
- Work with Service Now developers, administrators, and technical teams to ensure requirements are properly understood and implemented.
- Assist with Service Now platform enhancements, configurations, workflows, and process improvements.
- Participate in requirements gathering sessions, stakeholder meetings, demonstrations, and sprint ceremonies.
- Create and maintain business process documentation, requirements documentation, and workflow diagrams.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT), including development of test scenarios and validation of delivered functionality.
- Track requirements, issues, and change requests throughout the development lifecycle.
- Help identify opportunities to improve business processes using Service Now capabilities.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support Agile/Scrum development activities as needed.
- Ensure work products and documentation meet government and project requirements.
- Active Top Secret security clearance
. - Experience working as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of the Service Now platform
. - Experience gathering, documenting, and analyzing business requirements.
- Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, or functional requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Ability to work onsite in the DMV area
. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
- Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- Experience with Service Now modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, or CMDB.
- Experience supporting federal government customers.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure Dev Ops, or similar tools.
- Experience with UAT and software testing.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
This position is intended to be a full-time opportunity
. However, candidates who prefer contract employment may be considered for a 1099 contractor arrangement

Candidates should be comfortable working onsite in the Washington, DC / Maryland / Virginia (DMV) area.
