US Foods seeks a Category Operations Manager to lead daily wholesale distribution operations for assigned product categories. In this performance-driven, safety-focused role, you will optimize inventory, forecasting, and replenishment to ensure product availability and freshness, while minimizing waste and freight costs. Partner with sales, supply chain, and warehouse teams to improve fill rates, service levels, and category profitability. Use data and KPIs to drive continuous improvement, oversee process compliance, and support category launches.

Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day category operations within a wholesale distribution environment
- Optimize inventory, forecasting, and replenishment to improve service and reduce waste
- Monitor KPIs such as fill rate, turns, and spoilage; drive corrective actions
- Collaborate with sales, supply chain, and warehouse teams on category initiatives
- Ensure compliance with operational, food safety, and quality standards
- Support new product and category launches, including setup and stocking strategies
- Analyze demand, pricing, and freight data to improve category profitability
- Implement continuous improvement projects across processes and systems
- Coordinate with logistics on inbound loads and vendor performance
- Prepare reports and recommendations for leadership on category performance
