Sr Architect‑Construction – (260001CV)

The Senior Architect will report to the Vice President of FP&C and will plan, schedule and manage large‑scale strategic projects to achieve organizational objectives within a defined timeframe, scope, and budget.

Responsible for project workplan development and measurement, establishment of project communication and implementation of risk management plans. Will be responsible for Capital project budget preparation. Will lead and manage the planning and design of projects, including but not limited to managing feasibility studies, project programming and all design phases, project contract administration, monitoring project schedules, monitoring budgets, providing cash flow analysis and projections and processing change orders and pay applications.

Will work with the Directors of Construction, Space Planning & Program Management and Engineering to coordinate schedules, finance and logistical matters with contractors, design professionals and impacted CNMC personnel. Will work cooperatively with strategic planners to assure projects meet stakeholders expectations and are financially viable before construction is initiated.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architecture. (Required)

Registered Architect (Required)

Minimum Work Experience

7 years progressively responsible experience (multi‑million dollar projects) in planning and design of projects in healthcare facilities. (Required)

Required Skills/Knowledge

Demonstrates strong project and contract administration skills, leadership attributes (strategic thinking, sharing of organizational goals, leading multidisciplinary groups).

Ability to multitask, excellent organizational skills and effective communication and presentation skills.

Working knowledge of E‑Builder, Microsoft Excel and Word, PowerPoint.

Functional Accountabilities Project Management
  • Responsible for the development of designs for regulatory approvals.
  • Ensure designs maintain facilities standards and are in compliance with CNMC Master Plan for Facilities.
  • Manage assigned projects, working with departments to develop conceptual designs and prepare budget estimates. Monitor projects on a daily basis for compliance with project design and contractual agreements.
  • Negotiate and prepare contracts for design professionals and various vendors. Monitor project costs and execute project change orders and pay applications.
  • Ensure all project documents are obtained and recorded. Schedule and monitor all regulatory construction inspections.
  • Ensure all project close‑out documents are filed in Construction Office.
  • Ensure all project documentation is uploaded and stored in E‑Builder.
