Job Description Summary

The Setup Tech supports the production line by adhering to the designated production/mold change schedule, ensuring a quality bottle is ready for the production team and maintaining maximum machine efficiency through mold change and setup processes. Remaining committed to safety and ISO is essential.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Able to lift 35 pounds or more on a regular basis
  • At least 2 years in a plastics environment with strong exposure to injection blow mold machines
  • Understanding of use and application of basic hand tools
  • Understanding of use and application of power tools
  • Ability to maintain personal toolbox with needed tools to complete daily operations
Job Responsibilities
  • Make safety a #1 priority
  • Keep the setup shop and current working area clean and safe
  • Communicate with the Maintenance Manager regarding shop needs
  • Communicate with Quality and Production teams on all pertinent information about impending bottle run
  • Understand the working parts of machines relating to molds and tooling
  • Know how to disassemble, clean, inspect and reassemble the machine heads and molds on all SBM & EBM machines
  • Other duties as assigned
