We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our woodworking cabinet production facility. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and has a solid background in both mechanical and electrical systems. You’ll be responsible for keeping our equipment running safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on woodworking machinery, including:
- Doweling machines
- Case clamps
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, misalignment, or potential failures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records, and parts inventory.
- Assist with machine setup, calibration, and optimization to support production needs.
- Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure machines operate within safety standards.
- Support facility maintenance tasks such as lighting, compressors, dust collection systems, and general building upkeep.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience repairing industrial woodworking equipment.
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, including motors, sensors, wiring, and control panels.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Experience with CNC machinery troubleshooting is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with PLCs is a plus (not required).
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience maintaining electrical equipment
- Experience with leading a team of maintenance personnel or supervisory experience.
- Previous maintenance experience in a woodworking, cabinet, or millwork facility.
- Knowledge of dust collection systems and shop safety standards.
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
This role is hands‑on and requires time on the production floor. You’ll be part of a team that values craftsmanship, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
