Job Details

This is a highly visible position that works directly with operations leadership, production, purchasing, and sales. What You’ll Be Doing
  • Own and maintain the master production schedule across multiple manufacturing processes, balancing capacity, materials, labor, and customer delivery requirements
  • Convert customer orders and sales forecasts into actionable daily and weekly production plans
  • Coordinate closely with purchasing to ensure raw materials and components are available when needed
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules in real time to address delays, quality holds, material shortages, or changing priorities
  • Identify bottlenecks before they impact customer deliveries and communicate solutions proactively
  • Maintain accurate ERP data, including work orders, inventory status, production progress, and job completion updates
  • Prepare and analyze scheduling metrics, including on‑time delivery performance and schedule adherence
  • Partner with sales and operations teams to establish realistic lead times and manage priority orders
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve planning accuracy, scheduling efficiency, and workflow execution
What We’re Looking For
  • 3-5 years of Production Scheduling, Production Planning, or Manufacturing Planning experience
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment with multiple production processes and competing priorities
  • Strong ERP/MRP experience (Epicor, Global Shop Solutions, SYSPRO, Fulcrum, or similar systems preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
  • Ability to interpret work orders, bills of material (BOMs), routings, and production workflows
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage numerous active jobs simultaneously
  • Effective communicator who can work across operations, purchasing, sales, and production teams
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, constraints, and opportunities for improvement
Preferred Experience
  • Custom manufacturing, job shop, or make‑to‑order production environments
  • Metal fabrication, foundry, casting, machining, welding, or other heavy manufacturing operations
  • APICS CPIM certification or similar planning/supply chain training
  • Experience with capacity planning, finite scheduling, constraint management, and production optimization
