Production Operator E, Tacoma, WA
Arclin Surfaces, USA is seeking a Production Operator E for our Tacoma, WA location. The role reports to the Shift Supervisor and is responsible for operating, packaging, and maintaining machinery during the production operation to ensure compliance with Arclin’s goals and objectives.
Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour; differential pay for night shift; promotional opportunities based on performance.
What You’ll Do- Operate sheeter and rewinder machinery to make finished goods
- Package finished goods according to customer specifications
- Operate a forklift to load/unload raw materials (drums, totes, bags)
- Collaborate with crew to meet the production and shipping schedule
- Ensure required packaging documents are completed and follow procedures for compliance with regulations and corporate requirements
- Participate with the Health and Safety Committee to facilitate safety improvements
- Follow all site rules and procedures as they apply to quality, health, safety, and the environment
- Visually monitor processes within area of accountability and immediately inform the Line Operator of any deviations or abnormalities
- Work in close coordination with the Line Operator to safely and efficiently meet production and maintenance schedules across all processes
- Communicate and confer with the Line Operator as well as with Technical, Supervisory, and Support Personnel to resolve process conditions affecting safety, efficiency, and product quality
- Respond to process alarms and interlocks promptly and coordinate timely confirmation and corrective actions
- Perform troubleshooting in the event of process deviations
- High School Diploma or GED
- Forklift experience a plus but must be able to become certified
- Analytical and mechanical mindset
- Previous chemical/processing experience a plus
- Willing to work 12‑hour shifts (days, nights, weekends)
- Willing to follow strict Health and Safety Guidelines and wear required PPE
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, and work in elevated areas as required
- Will lift an average of 25 lbs frequently; up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Basic computer skills required
- Basic math skills including use of a calculator
- Two shifts available: 6:45 am – 7:00 pm or 6:45 pm – 7:00 am; 3‑ or 4‑day weeks
