Position: Production Technician (Prepreg)

Description

Jumpstart Your Career in Composite Manufacturing! We’re looking for motivated individuals to join our team and learn the fundamentals of composite production in the Finishing area. This entry‑level role is designed to give you hands‑on experience with production machinery, including setup, safe operation, monitoring, and basic maintenance. You’ll receive training on quality control standards and gain the skills needed to advance into higher‑level roles.

Compensation
  • Hourly: $24.00 - $27.00
  • Compensation is reexamined on an annual basis
  • $3.00 per hour shift premium for night shift (5:45 pm – 6:00 am)
Schedule

2‑2‑3 rotating schedule from 5:45 am to 6:00 pm (Day Shift) / 5:45 pm to 6:00 am (Night Shift). These 12‑hour shifts follow a 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off rotation for both day and night shifts.

  • Read and follow work instructions; moderate proficiency with computers and software.
  • Maintain high attention to detail.
  • Frequent movement, standing, and pushing/pulling; able to stand for extended periods.
  • Understand and meet quality expectations.
  • Follow safety procedures consistently.
  • Work independently and as part of a team with moderate supervision; perform duties with minimal guidance.

  • Comfortable reading an analog clock.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English at a level necessary to perform assigned responsibilities.
  • Work independently or in small teams (2‑3).
Education / Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous production experience strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to hear, speak, use hands/fingers, and perform repetitive hand/wrist motions frequently.
  • Lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs occasionally; lift more than 40 lbs as part of a team lift.
  • Stand for up to 12 hours frequently.
  • Accurate visual acuity, with or without corrective lenses.
  • Climb stairs, bend at waist, kneel, twist, and reach frequently.
  • Wear personal protective equipment for extended periods.
  • Fit respirator and wear respirator if required.
  • Perform essential functions with or without accommodation.
Environmental
  • Job tasks are usually performed in a production environment.
  • Occasional exposure to a range of temperatures.
  • Works with potentially hazardous materials including epoxy resins and/or components.
  • May be required to wear personal protective equipment for extended periods.

This position requires use of information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
