We are seeking to hire a Day Shift Sand Blaster
.
Full-time position. Shift Monday through Friday from 5AM to 1:30PM.
Position is very physical, requiring constant standing, bending, and lifting up to fifty pounds.
Best candidates can work alone 80-90% of the time, are mechanically minded, and can handle working in a booth regardless of weather conditions.
Requires wearing Steel/composite toe footwear and long sleeves, and Company will provide a helmet with hood, hearing protection, and rubber gloves.
Upon hire, employee must complete an OSHA questionnaire to be cleared to use our hoods for blasting.
Responsibilities- Determine jobs to process using an Excel spreadsheet.
- Move the job to their booth.
- Inventory the job to ensure all parts are present.
- Mask off threaded holes and studs to prevent damage to the threads.
- Use the machine to remove the outer surface of the parts (patina) without damaging them.
- Tag completed parts and move them for the floor team to continue processing.
- Use a tablet to track the parts from start to completion through blast.
- Assist the floor team in processing parts when there is nothing to blast.
- Clean the booth daily after use prior to the next shift.
- Perform other tasks as deemed necessary by supervisor, operations manager, or owner.
Starting pay is $18-20 per hour, depending on experience.

- Must be able to lift fifty pounds.
- Have a good attendance record at previous employers.
- Have reliable transportation to commute to Tacoma daily.
- Have a current Driver’s License (for forklift certification).
- Provide within the first two days of employment documentation to prove identity and right to work in the United States. The I‑9 requires the originals, not copies.
- Experience with sandblasting.
- Experience using air tools, power tools, and operating a sit‑down forklift.
- Mechanical mindset to handle operator‑level maintenance on the booth.
- Driven individual who wants to get the job done.
