As a CNC Operator I–III, you will support RTCA's precision manufacturing by safely operating CNC equipment and producing accurate, high‑quality aerospace parts. You will receive hands‑on training to learn our machines, parts, processes, and shop environment, helping you build confidence and skills as you contribute to efficient, reliable production. Your attention to detail and collaboration with machinists and quality teams help maintain our performance standards and keep operations running smoothly.

Working a full-time, onsite position at our Fife, WA location.

Safely operate CNC equipment and monitor machines during production.

Load and unload parts, verify quality through basic inspections, and follow all work instructions.

Maintain accurate production records and keep a clean, organized work area.

Communicate issues, support smooth workflow, and follow all safety and quality procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.

CNC Operator I

Operate CNC machines under direct supervision.

Load/unload parts, perform basic inspections, and follow standard work instructions.

Maintain work area and learn basic machining fundamentals.

CNC Operator II

Operate CNC equipment independently and monitor machine performance.

Perform routine tool changes and in ‑ process inspections.

Maintain quality and identify issues early to support efficient production.

CNC Operator III

Operate multiple CNC machines with minimal oversight.

Troubleshoot minor issues and ensure quality control during production.

Assist with training and provide guidance to junior operators.

Required Qualifications (Education, skills and experience):

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or machine operation environment (varies by level).
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, routers, and basic production documentation.
  • Ability to use standard measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic computer/data entry skills.
  • Ability to work safely in a machine ‑ shop environment and follow all safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications (Education, skills and experience):

  • Previous CNC operation experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
  • Experience performing in ‑ process inspections and documenting results.
  • Familiarity with production workflows and machine ‑ shop best practices.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior operators (for higher ‑ level candidates).

CNC Lathe Operator compensation range for onsite Washington applicants is $20-30 per hour commensurate with experience. Some shifts may include shift differential pay rates. Other site ranges may differ.
