Inventory Control and Receiving Specialist

General Plastics Manufacturing Company seeks an Inventory Control and Receiving Specialist to support its advanced polyurethane foam manufacturing in Tacoma, WA. In this role, you will receive and inspect materials, maintain accurate inventory records, and stage components for production serving aerospace, defense, and other high-spec industries. You will work with ERP and inventory systems, operate material handling equipment, and coordinate with production, purchasing, and quality teams in a safety- and quality-focused environment with opportunities to grow.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips
• Accurately record receipts and inventory movements in ERP or inventory systems
• Organize, label, and store raw materials and finished goods per company standards
• Perform regular cycle counts and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Coordinate material staging and replenishment for production lines
• Maintain clean, safe, and compliant warehouse and receiving areas
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and quality teams to meet schedules
• Prepare and process shipping documentation and support outbound shipments
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely
• Support continuous improvement of inventory and receiving processes
