General Plastics Manufacturing Company is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Machinist to support our Manufacturing & Production team. In this role, you will program, set up, and operate CNC mills and routers to machine polyurethane foam components for aerospace, automotive, and construction applications. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, creating/optimizing CNC programs, selecting tools and fixtures, performing first-article and in-process inspections, and troubleshooting machining issues.

You will collaborate closely with engineering and quality to meet tight tolerances, safety standards, and on-time delivery goals in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC mills/routers for polyurethane foam components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs to improve quality and throughput.
  • Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and machining strategies for each job.
  • Perform first-article and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality to resolve nonconformances and improve processes.
  • Maintain equipment, follow safety procedures, and support 5
  • S/lean initiatives.
  • Document setups, programs, and process changes for repeatability and traceability.
