The Injection Molding Manager is responsible for providing technical and operational leadership to ensure production goals are achieved while maintaining safety, quality, and cost objectives. This position oversees the Injection Molding Department's personnel, equipment, and processes, driving continuous improvement through optimization, automation, workforce development, and strategic investment recommendations. The role serves as a key partner to cross-functional departments to support efficient manufacturing operations and successful new product introductions.
Performance Metrics
- Adhere to the DEMGY Pacific Attendance Point System.
- Maintain compliance with all DEMGY Pacific safety protocols and procedures.
Operations & Production
- Lead and manage daily operations of the Injection Molding Department.
- Troubleshoot and optimize molding processes to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.
- Ensure cycle times, yields, quality standards, and delivery commitments support cost-reduction and productivity goals.
- Partner with Scheduling and Customer Service teams to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Monitor and drive key production performance indicators (KPIs).
- Evaluate and implement automation and process improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrate strong organizational, planning, prioritization, and time management skills to support departmental objectives.
- Provide leadership and direction to Leads, Molders, and Operators across all shifts.
- Train, mentor, and develop employees to expand technical skills and promote career growth.
- Assess staffing requirements and recommend workforce levels to meet operational demands.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support the VP of Operations with hiring, coaching, disciplinary actions, and termination decisions.
- Foster a culture aligned with DEMGY Pacific's values, emphasizing teamwork, accountability, safety, continuous improvement, and successful New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives.
Budget & Strategic Planning
- Monitor and manage departmental budgets, overtime, spending, and resource utilization.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend equipment purchases, workspace improvements, and technology investments.
- Support capital expenditure planning and cost-reduction initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner effectively with CNC, Assembly, Shipping, Quality, Engineering, and other departments to achieve company objectives.
- Ensure regular startup meetings and KPI reviews are conducted and documented.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.
- Apply strong conflict-resolution, negotiation, and collaboration skills when addressing operational challenges.
- Demonstrate emotional intelligence through self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, informed decision-making, effective delegation, coaching, and employee development.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Progressive leadership experience in injection molding manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, tooling, materials, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience leading production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to analyze data, improve processes, and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Strong communication, leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with KPI management, budgeting, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing principles.
