Position Overview:

As a
Molder
you will report to the Mold and Core Supervisor in Tacoma, Washington.

You will be responsible for making, finishing, and closing molds.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Follow work instructions to build and assemble molds
• Close molds and ensure proper setup
• Operate arc welder and overhead cranes as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Report safety, quality, or maintenance concerns to supervisor promptly
• Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency
• Support safety, quality, and productivity initiatives and projects

Experience:

• Previous experience in molding operations within a foundry environment preferred
• Previous manufacturing or labor experience

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
• Willingness to learn molding processes in a foundry environment
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
• Comfortable working in hot, noisy, and physically demanding conditions
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools
• Able to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Reliable attendance and good teamwork skills

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to use arms, hands, legs and feet in repetitive motions
• Able to twist, stoop bend, and stand in the performance of job duties
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds repetitively
• Must be able to stand and walk on concrete floors and uneven surfaces for the duration of the work shift
• Must be able to climb ladders and stairs
• Must have good vision and depth perception
• Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including respirator

Pay Range: $24.00 - $34.96 an hour (depending on experience)

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm (flexible for OT on weekends)
