We are a premier aerospace manufacturer in Tacoma, and we are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated team member to work in our CNC Department, machining polyurethane foam.

This is hands-on manufacturing. Meaning, you’ll be on your feet, working with our HAAS and CMS machines, and meeting high-quality, aerospace production standards. Previous CNC experience is required. Reliable daily attendance is also required. If you have a history of missing shifts or arriving late without notice, please do not waste your time or ours.

We are a federal subcontractor, and we test for marijuana

CNC Machinist will operate computer-controlled tools to machine or process parts, tools, or other work pieces primarily of polyurethane foam but other materials as well. Reads and interprets blueprints, work orders, and related documentation to determine methods and sequence of operations, in addition to, dimensional and finish specifications.

• Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures
• Mount, install, align, secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments
• Ability to effectively and efficiently setup and breakdown machines, removing finished work pieces, tooling changes, or work piece placement, according to required machining sequences
• Read, interpret and convey instructions, verbally and in written form

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Have a minimum of 2 years of CNC experience
• Experience with GD and T
• Must be able to receive and interpret instructions and directions from supervisors and peers
• Must demonstrate good judgment to perform the job correctly and safely
• Must be process minded with experience leading and participating in Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Demonstrate a daily commitment to advancing the company’s core mission, vision and operational values
• Be a fast learner who can understand and follow technical instructions

• Experience operating HAAS and CMS machines

• Standing 8 hours per day
• Finger dexterity – the ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects
• Arm-hand steadiness – the ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position

This position requires that you are available for either day or swing shift. We offer a $1.50 shift premium for anyone on swing shift. Overtime is optional and never mandatory!
