Tacoma Community Immigrant Wellbeing Advocate

Ameri Corps/Washington Service Corps national service position located at Tacoma Community House. The role supports immigrants, refugees, and other residents including those who are incarcerated or recently released from detention.

• Provide information and guidance to immigrants on accessing health services and community resources.
• Visit detention centers, counsel immigrants on navigating the healthcare system, identify available services, and refer to community-based resources.
• Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to expand outreach and support efforts.
• Represent Tacoma Community House at outreach events to strengthen access to care.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in Spanish.
• Teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work full time under a national service framework.

• Monthly stipend of $2,438.
